About this adventure
The Highlands are fractured. Three aggressive factions—the Iron Crown from the lowlands, the Obsidian Clans from the eastern peaks, and the merchant-lords of the Coastal Confederacy—have turned their eyes toward the independent Highland territories, drawn by ancient ore deposits, strategic mountain passes, and the strength of the Highland people themselves. The Highlanders, a proud culture of warriors and herders bound by blood-oath and tradition, have resisted for generations.
Prologue
The wind howls through the mountain passes, carrying the scent of pine and the metallic tang of blood. For generations, the Highland clans have eked out a fierce independence, their lives a tapestry woven from tradition, loyalty, and unending struggle. Now, a storm gathers on the horizon. From the lowlands, the Iron Crown casts its greedy gaze upon the Highlands. Their armies march, their forges burn, and their ambition threatens to extinguish the ancient flame of Highland freedom. Whispers of dissent and treachery echo through the glens, even as the call to war rings out from every village. Hope dwindles with each passing day. But the spirit of the Highlanders is not easily broken. Deep within the heartland, a spark remains, waiting for a hand to fan it into a blazing fire—a fire that could either save the Highlands, or consume them all.
